                      December 05,2005

1.        Meeting called to order by Anita Fenton.

2.        Father Foley opened the meeting with a blessing and
members joined him in the Lord’s Prayer. Anita then led the
members in the reading of the Mission Statement.

3.        Present: Father Foley, Deacon Joe, Anita Fenton, Celeste
Hedge-Lionett, Barbara Englander, Ann Ratte, Rita Theresa
Downing, Janet Rauktis, Vinny Matulaitis and Kathy Johnson

4.        Pastor’s Report: Through the month of October, financially
we are a little behind but still doing okay. All the bills are paid but
we have not received a big fuel bill yet. We have received about
$7000 in dedications and they are continuing to come in. This year’s
and next year’s payments have been covered so far.
Dennis has had labels printed and they will be put in the
missals soon. Missals will be blessed this weekend. There will be a
Penance Service on December 18th at Our Lady of the Angels at
3:00 p.m. There will be 84 children making their First Penance next
Saturday.
December 19th is the Women’s Guild Evening of Recollection.
Bishop McManus is the speaker and everyone is invited to attend.
Christmas mass schedule is Christmas Eve- 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.
m. Christmas Day: 8 a.m., and 10 a.m. New Years Day is on a
Sunday, so the regular weekend mass schedule will be followed.
There are quite a few tags left in the Giving Basket. We received
many more requests than usual. Vinny Matulaitis is joining the
Parish Council - welcome and thank you.

5.        Temporal Administrator: the Knights of Columbus and their
helpers removed all the leaves from the grounds. Two Knights have
done work around the church. One fixed lights and another built a
missal rack and a book rack. Our appreciation is extended to these
two men. No one showed up for the altar server training. The sign
outside is available to parish organizations. The lights in the crown
in church need to be changed. Three out of five spots are out.
Staging is needed to do this work. There are plenty of calendars.
Please take one on the way out of church. The history of the
diocese books will be available for free after masses until they are
gone. Many people brought food on Thanksgiving to help with the
St. Vincent de Paul collection.

6.        Old Business: New parish council members are needed.
Also, a representative from each of the ministries should attend the
meetings which are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month
at 7:30 p.m.

7.

Knights of Columbus:  Deacon Joe  A member suggested
contacting a plumber or the Gas Company to get the cost of brining
gas from the Johnson Center to the kitchen in the church hall.
Deacon Joe will look into this.

CCD:  Carol  There is still a shortage of teachers. If you can help out
as a weekly teacher or as a substitute teacher, call Carol Bertel

Women’s Guild:  Ann  The December meeting was a gathering at
the rectory where the tree was decorated. Father was thanked for
his hospitality. December 19th is the Evening of Recollection. There
will be a light supper, a talk by the bishop, and then mass. Everyone
is invited to attend.

The meeting was concluded with a prayer and Hail Mary led by
Deacon Joe. The next meeting will be January 3rd at 7:30 p.m. New
members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please see
Father Foley.

Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Johnson
