MINUTES OF PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING
September 04, 2007
1. Meeting called to order by Father Foley
2. Father Foley opened the meeting with a prayer and members joined him in the
Lord’s Prayer. Minutes were approved from the last meeting, and then members read
the Mission Statement.
3. Present: Father Foley, Anita Fenton, Paul Franco, Kathy Cushing, Janet Rauktis,
Margaret Abboud, Chris McSherry, and Kathy Johnson
4. Financial Report: The budget committee has finished their yearly meeting and a
member will be giving a report at upcoming masses. We are down about $14,000, but
that is including the unexpected cost of $18,000 for the window repairs. We have
been able to replenish the savings and we now have about $100,000 in savings and
checking combined. Any capital improvements needed, will be paid for through
separate fundraising. In the future, we will be looking into hiring a part-time person
to help serve the elderly and shut-ins.
5. Additional Business: Father Foley went over the Sacrament/Spiritual
Questionnaire. The members of the Pastoral Council will be sent one, and anyone
else in the parish who is interested can also fill one out. The questionnaire is
available for all to see and download on the church website. Hard copies will be
available in church, also. All questionnaires need to be filled out in a timely manner,
and a meeting will be held towards the end of September to combine everyone’s
comments. The final product is due in the Bishop’s office by October 15th. The Sierra
Club is looking for someone in the parish to go to a conference on October 20th at
Holy Cross. It is an all day conference about vocations. The cost is $35.00. See Father
Foley if you are interested.

7. Old Business: New parish council members are needed. Also, a representative
from each of the ministries should attend the meetings which are usually held on the
first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m
