2. Father Foley opened the meeting with a prayer
and members joined him in the Lord’s Prayer.
Minutes were approved, and members then read

Fenton, Russ LeMay, Paul Franco, Mary Sullivan,
Kathy Lauring, Margaret Abboud, Dave Standring,
and Kathy Johnson
4. Financial Report: Collections are up 105% and
we are $13,000 over budget. Extra gifts are up
$10,000 and religious ed. contributions are up
$1200. Disbursements have been made in the
amounts of $18,000 for the fundraising campaign,
$1800 for windows, and $4600 for the boiler repair.
All money that was borrowed from the savings has
been paid back and we have no looming bills.
People have kept up their increased giving over
the weeks since the initial appeal went out. The
Finance Committee will be speaking at masses in
the coming weeks. Partners in Charity will be
introduced the weekend after Easter. The goal is
$93,000 this year.
5. Additional Business: Deacon Joe is doing well
after his surgery and we look forward to him
returning part-time in the near future. Confirmation
with Bishop McManus is on April 26th at 7 p.m.
First Communion will be celebrated on April 28th at
10AM and the Parish Appreciation Party will be
that evening at 5 p.m. Catholic Collegiate Women
will meet on April 30th.
6. Temporal Administrator - absent
7. Old Business: New parish council members are
needed. Also, a representative from each of the
ministries should attend the meetings which are
usually held on the first Tuesday of each month at
7:30PM.
8. New Business: Dave- The Mustard Seed can
always use donations and volunteers. One family
has signed on to serve one week and another
person has volunteered some time. There was also
a donation of $200 given. Russ - Hams and food
were given to Pernet for the holiday. Margaret-
The Play Group needs someone to continue in the
role of organizer. It has become a great group for
adults as well as children, but Margaret cannot
continue in the facilitator role. She hopes someone
will step up so the group doesn’t have to disband.
Paul - The Men’s Conference was excellent. Paul
was very impressed and would encourage all men
to go next year. Father Foley -The Fire and Codes
Departments want to make sure the hall is safe for
the Interfaith Hospitality families. Someone will be
coming to check out the facility.
Ministry Reports:
9. Knights of Columbus: Dave -There will be a
wine and cheese fundraiser on May 11th at 7 p.m.

10. CCD: No Report
11. CYC: Kathy L .- The show is April 19th, 20th,
and 21st. On April 17th, the CYC will be
conducting a cleanup of the church and the
grounds.
12. Women’s Guild: Mary - The Evening of
Reconciliation was a success with about 40 people
attending. May 6th will be the Annual Mothers’ Day
Shower. They will be collecting new and gently
used kitchen and household items before and after
masses.
13. Men’s Club: No Report
14. Social Committee: Parish Appreciation Party
will be held on April 28th.
15. Post-Bereavement Ministry: Margaret -
Margaret will be working with Bob Fantelli in
starting the ministry. They will be trying to get
together a packet of useful information for the
families of recently deceased parishioners. They
will be looking for members to meet on a monthly
basis to discuss what the needs are of the families
and ways they can be addressed. They are
thinking that a member could call and ask if a
family member might want some one to visit for a
“cup of tea” and to offer companionship. Margaret
and Bob will get together a list of activities
volunteers would be needed for. They will also be
looking into getting speakers for various topics
such as financial management, grief management
and dealing with loneliness.
The meeting was concluded with The Hail Mary,
led by Father Foley. The next meeting will be May
1st at 7:30 p.m. All parish organizations should
send a representative to the meeting.
New members are welcome and encouraged to
attend. Please see Father Foley.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Johnson
Parish Council Secretary
