SCOUTING MINISTRY

BOY SCOUTS and CUB SCOUTS

Christ the King Parish is the sponsor of Boy Scout
Troop #37 and Cub Pack #37, Mohegan Council.
Cub and Boy Scouts take part in various skill and
outdoor activities in a year-round program designed
to build good character and citizenship, in a
wholesome, supportive, cooperative, and enjoyable
environment. Scouting is open to all area youth in
the following designations: Tiger Cub Scout - First
Grade; Cub/Webelos, grades 2, 3, 4, and 5; and Boy
Scouts, ages 11, or 10 with completion of Arrow of
Light, and concluding at the age of 18. Adult
volunteers are welcome.

GIRL SCOUTS and BROWNIES

The Girl Scout Program, open to all girls in the
area, fosters the development of high ideals, self-
esteem, and good citizenship. Scouts choose, plan,
and carry out activities, such as hiking and outdoor
living, math and science, arts and crafts, work on
different badges, and community service. Brownie
level, for grades 1, 2, and 3, holds registration in
late spring. The Junior Girl Scouts,for grades 4, 5,
and 6,  holds registration in early fall. Registration
dates are published in the weekly parish bulletin,    
Adult volunteers are welcome.
