MINUTES OF PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING
                                      March 1, 2005

1. Meeting was called to order by Father Foley.
2. Father Foley opened the meeting with a blessing and members
joined him in
the Lord's prayer. Anita then led the members in the reading of the
Mission
Statement.
3. February's minutes were approved as written.
4. Present:  Father Foley, Deacon Joe, Anita Fenton, Mary Sullivan,
and
Paul Franco
5. Pastor's Report: Financially the parish is in good shape.
The parish received a total of $259,000 and spent $227,000, so we're
in pretty good shape financially.
6. Temporal Administrator - Motor of boiler was repaired.
   The CYC will be purchasing two new tables for the downstairs
conference room to replace the four old ones now there. Together
they will each be 42" by 16' and are steel reinforced with a laminated
top. The cost will be under $1000.
   Due to a medical problem, Don will be unable to work for six weeks.
We will again be hiring a professional cleaning company to clean the
upstairs of the church before Easter.   
   The Boy Scouts and the Knights of Columbus are planning a clean-
up of the yard in April.
7. Old Business: Father Foley said he will approach several people
about joining the parish council, since no one has volunteered.
8.  New Business: Father Foley mentioned that Father Jim Mazzone
will be giving the homilies this weekend. It will be dedicated to
vocations.
    The Annual Appeal information will be sent to everyone in the
parish. It will start April 23rd and 24th. Pledging will begin on Sunday
April 30th and May 1st.  Envelopes will be given out the week before.
Christ the King parish's goal has been set at $100,000. We have
reached this goal in the past.
                
9. Ministry Reports:
Parish Activities - No report.
CYC - No report
Women's Guild - Mary   The Evening of Recollection will be held on
Thursday,
March 3rd There will be a 6:00 pm mass followed by a light dinner.
Professor Rick
Murphy from the College of the Holy Cross will speak on "40 Days in
the
Desert-Biblical Reflection"
Knights of Columbus - Joe  March Madness Dance will be held in
March and they
will be selling the March Calendar.
10.   The meeting was concluded with a prayer and the Hail Mary led
by Deacon  Joe.

The next meeting will be April 5th at 7:30 pm.
