MINUTES OF PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING
February 8, 2005

4. Present: Father Foley, Deacon Joe, Anita Fenton, Mary
Sullivan, Nancy Hardiman, Rita Therese Downey, Paul Franco
and Kathy Johnson.
5. Pastor's Report: Financially the parish is in good shape. The
snow storm hit the finances for the week but the coming
weeks should make up for the decrease in donations. Father
would like to plan something to celebrate the Year of the
Eucharist. He will order Eucharistic Prayer Cards and possibly
talk about the history of the eucharist and mass during the
weekend masses. There will be a Penance Service at Blessed
Sacrament on March 6th at 3:00 pm.. The Men's Retreat will be
held at the Passionist Monastary on February 19th. Dennis is
deciding on what robes to buy.
6. Temporal Administrator's Report: One boiler has been fixed
at a cost of $3,015. All the EXIT signs are lit 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. All the batteries have been replaced in the
emergency light system. The sound system is complete except
for one little part we are waiting for. The project came in a bit
under budget. The parish is in need of lectors and eucharistic
ministers. There is a commitment of only one time every four to
five weeks. Snow removal has been fine so far. The Men's
Conference will be held at the DCU Center on March 12th. The
church calendar will be filled in during June. Ministries should
be thinking about their upcoming events.
7. Old Business Anita will keep bulletins on the website for a
two week time period. She would also like some pictures from
past CYC shows to put on the website.
8. New Business: The Family Flier insert was voted
worthwhile and will continue to be inserted into the bulletin.
